He was born, lives and plays in Naples. Italy. As a saxophonist and composer, he has released five albums with Slivovitz (New York-based label Moonjune) and the latest Liver (Neapolitan label SoundFly), in addition to the one with his PS3 trio (Clinamen, Emme records 2017) and the last one with the new PS5, “Unconscious Collective” (Hyperjazz 2021). Constant collaborator of Crossroads Improring, he is involved and engaged in the Italian scene of radical improvisation (Franco Ferguson, Elio Martusciello and Officina Arti Soniche, Collettivo NISE). Multi-instrumentalist since forever, he has collaborated, among others, with Nu Guinea, Fitness Forever, Enzo Avitabile, Giovanni Imparato, Marzouk Mejri, Dennis Bovell, Daniele Sepe, Marcello Colasurdo, Marco Messina (ELEM, 99Posse), Ludovica Manzo, Rod Taylor, Salvatore Tranchini, Agostino Mennella, Lisa Mezzacappa, Mimmo Langella, Marco Zurzolo, Jenny Sorrenti, Flo. As a session player he is part of several projects of pop and jazz music. He graduated in Digital Sound Processing at the Faculty of Physics of Federico II University and later obtained a first level diploma in Electronic Music at Santa Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, with a work on Rhythm, Minimalism and Electronics (also presented at the “20temporanea14” exhibition organized by Antonio Mastrogiacomo, as part of the OLEFestival event in Naples in 2014), and the second level diploma at San Pietro a Majella Conservatory in Naples, with a study of generative music based on Markov chains. As an electronic musician, his project Microttimismi (with its video edited by Daniele Rosselli) was presented as part of the Napoli Teatro Festival 2016; previously he had presented several works and installations in Campania region and in Rome, in environments linked to the activities of the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia; he has taught Acoustics and Psychoacoustics from 2011 to 2019 at the Nut Academy in Naples. Author of soundtracks, he has recently written the original music for the documentary Triumphs and Laments by Gianni Troilo on the work of the same name by William Kentridge (Rome Film Festival, 2016). He appreciates analog photography, loves walking outdoors. He hates biographical notes.
