John Whenham

English musicologist and academic who specializes in early Italian baroque music. He is a leading expert on the life and works of Claudio Monteverdi. He worked with Anthony Rooley, [a836115] and The Consort Of Musicke on their series of recordings of Monteverdi madrigals, and with The King's Consort on recordings of Monteverdi's sacred music.
