Comment from Brett re Spirit of '88 and Red, White and Blue. The story is that I joined the band when they were called Spirit Of ‘88 and they told me they were really into hardcore from 1988 so that’s what the name meant, the lyrics at the time were all positive messages about the local scene and being part of a crew…after a while I started noticing the singer inserting Oi! type lyrics and they changed the name to Red, White, and Blue so I quit…after I left a label in Europe re-released recordings I played on with their new revolting lyrics without my permission.
