Alien In The Land Of Our Birth

Alien In The Land Of Our Birth was a band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed in 1989 at Belmont College. Known for their on stage antics, they won the Nashville Music Award's "Best Metal Act" in 1990. Their original line-up consisted of vocalist Scott Upshaw Carter, guitarist Billy Loffler III, bassist Leo Grandados, and drummer Brad Elrod. Later down the band's career Leo moved out to Mexico and was replaced by Dale Witmer. After Dale left the group, he was replaced by Christopher Frey. For a short period of time guitarist Steve Austin joined the group. After the band broke up around 1992, Steve Austin and Brad Elrod went on to form Today Is The Day. Before the group dissolved a full-length was recorded and was eventually released in 2007 through SPLAT! Records.
