Об исполнителе:
Experimental musician from Paris, later relocated to Glasgow. Another project is Serendipity (album "Serendipity I" (2015)) Credited as vocalist and songwriter on SAYCET's 'Through The Window' (released in 2010) and most recent album 'Mirages' (march 2015), Phoene Somsavath collaborated with Parisian electronic producer Saycet for seven years, adding her diaphanous figure to the live shows on laptop, guitars and keyboard. With Saycet, she played hundreds of shows, touring Asia (Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea), playing festivals from Mexico to Moscow, and performing 'Through The Window' live on stage in Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Luxemburg and Britain – as well as most of the cities in their home country France. After the recording of 'Mirages' was completed in 2014, she decided to relocate from Paris to Glasgow, dedicating the past two years to her solo project and crafting her own soundscapes. Since the creation of the project, P H O E N E has been very prolific and active with two EPs ('Dennistoun' and 'Anthem'), a split single with WOLF (ex Zoey Van Goey/Chemikal Underground), a series of tapes to be released on her own imprint F:rmat (with first EP titled 'UN' available on her Bandcamp), while playing numerous shows in quick succession in her newly adopted city, most notably as support for Loscil (Kranky / Ghostly International)in november 2015 and Braids in june 2016. Her music is a distillation of layers of fascinating, fine-grain cacophonies that fold and unwind into rich, organic beats and lush headspaces, tensing and releasing, leaning against oblivion. The track 'Eugene' has caught the attention of Brighton-based label Fat Cat who featured the demo on their website.
