Cowgirls was a Danish country trio consisting of singers Sanne Salomonsen, Lis Sørensen and Tamra Rosanes, who in 2001 recorded a single album and gave a number of concerts as an extension of this. Tamra Rosanes was the only one from the group who before the album had actively dealt with the country genre, and it was she who in the late 1990s took the initiative by asking Sanne Salomonsen, whom she had known for many years, if not they were to make a country album together. Later, she also got Lis Sørensen involved in the idea, and the three singers started listening to a number of country songs. They then selected 16 songs, which they recorded with predominantly American musicians and, among others, Ivan Pedersen as producer in a studio in Nashville. Of these songs, 11 were selected for the album entitled Girls Night Out. After the release of the album, the trio went on a longer tour of Denmark in the first months of 2002. However, no more came out of the collaboration, and the three singers subsequently went their separate ways, however, later in certain situations they have performed together again.
