Is a composer/improvisor, performer and producer from Hartford, Connecticut. He studied classical Indian music at Cal Arts under Amiya Dasgupta and L. Subramaniam while working independently on the discipline of improvisation as an alto saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. At Cal Arts he was a collaborator with the composer Arthur Jarvinen in The Caucasians and The Folk Hunters. In Hartford he was a founder of The Hibachi Brothers (Barbecue Big Band) and People of Goodwill. He began to focus instrumentally on playing dousn' gouni (Malian hunter's harp), and African thumb pianos and berimbau. He recorded and performed with Don Cherry, Tony Vacca and Tim Moran (City Spirits LP) in 1985. In the mid 1980s he engineered and produced hip hop tracks by The Busy Boys (Myron More and Kevin Bell, aka Kutmaster B-stro) including their well-known track, "Funky Fresh Christmas" released on Bee-Pee Records and in numerous compilations. He also engineered and produced tracks by blues artist George Gritzback. Since 2004 he as been working on solo and collaborative projects under the name Liquid Terrain. He is currently a member of the New London Drone Orchestra.
