Folk group from the province Groningen (the Netherlands). Founded in 1975. There is also a folk group with the name 'Sistrum' in Dordrecht (the Netherlands). See 'Sistrum 3'. Members: Harry van Til - vocals, banjo, guitar Henk de Vries - bass, vocals. Hans de Vries (brother of Henk) - vocals, guitar, bodhran. Ben Mooibroek - vocals, foute, tin-whistle, fidele, mandoline, bodhran. Style: folk and bluegrass. Harry van Til, Henk and Hans de Vries are still playing in the Highland Stringband. Last concert on March 22, 2019 in Winsum.
