American drummer, bandleader, author and teacher. Born August 6, 1927 in Canton, Ohio Died January 31, 2018 (age of 90). He studied at the Roy Knapp School of Drums after getting out of the Navy. He toured with Johnny Hamlin Quartet for 3 years then moved back to Ohio to play sixnights a week at the THeatrical. McKee made hundreds of performances on local and national television as well as recordings as a studio musician. He also taught at various colleges and gave private lessons, teaching both jazz and rock drummers for more than 40 years in northeast Ohio. He also wrote "Bob McKee Drumset Advanced Studies - Split Page Rock and Jazz Book". Some of his students included: Tommy Dobeck, Val Kent, Skip Hadden, [a306611], Paul Samuels, [a609895], Mark Gonder, Steve Renko, and Ricky Exton.
