Milt Herth Quartet

Quartet led by Milt Herth (Hammond organ). The Quartet recorded under this name only in 1938. It consisted of the usual members of the Milt Herth Trio, supplemented by Teddy Bunn on the guitar. The other members in 1938, apart from leader Milt Herth on the Hammond organ, were Willie "The Lion" Smith on the piano and O'Neil Spencer on the drums. Spencer also sang on several recordings. The Quartet released half a dozen popular, jazz-tinged songs on Decca, often coupled with a song by the Milt Herth Trio on the flip side of the same record.
