Об исполнителе:
Groundbreaking Mexican RIO (Rock In Opposition) type, cross-culture, rock, folk and jazz hybrid band with different line-ups, invited artists and activity periods until now. They started as a progressive rock trio in late 1973, inspired by EL&P, founded by Walter Schmidt (3) (bass), Carlos Robledo (keyboards) and Moisés Romero (drums). Gradually they were becoming an experimental chamber orchestra by adding various percussion, strings and brass instruments like violin, saxophone, mandolin, marimba, flute, harp, clarinet, guitar, among others, also fusing synthesizers and electronics —allegedly inspired by Henry Cow. By the release of their iconic first record, [m281747], the group was already disbanded and its members went on to form genre-defining bands in Mexico like Size (4), Casino Shanghai, Nazca (5), Subsuelo (2), Syntoma, Vía Láctea, Chac Mool, Los Agentes Secretos, [a7547606], [a1731545], OD (3) and Fist Of Facts, along with others.
