Nowadays

Short-lived new wave/power pop group from Kouvola, Finland with several members of [a412997] in its lineup. Nowadays released only one single. Nowadays formed in the summer of 1980. At the time [a2077773] and Timo Ranta were members of [a412997] which had just recorded its first album that same summer. Nowadays lineup was completed by friends Jussi Voutilainen, Ari Huotari and Ismo Ronkainen. The band sent a self-recorded rehearsal tape to a radio show which was heard by Takku Kotilainen from Kräk! label. Next, the band was booked into Microvox-Studio to record four songs as a proper demo. This led to a deal for a single which was recorded at Birdland Studio (2). Prior to the recording of the single, Timo Kipahti joined as the sixth-member. After the single, Nowadays was pretty much over. During its lifetime the band played only one gig. Timo Ranta returned to [a412997], but [a2077773] did not. However, Jussi Voutilainen and Timo Kipahti became [a412997] members too.
