Les Sabres (2)

Austrian folk rock trio from Vienna, formed 1964. The group was founded by school friends Albert Misak and [a540591] that both focused on music related to their Jewish roots. The band had a broad repertoire of worldwide folk songs. In 1966 they released their first folk EP, in the year after their first LP and again one year later in 1968 one psychedelic rock single. Inspired by [a475737], Bartz and Misak went on to perform as the jiddish song project [a1256863] from the early 1970s onwards.
