The Bowling Balls

Belgian post-punk / synthpop band who started out as a fake rock band in the comic strip Germain Et Nous. Initially a joke in the rock magazine En Attendant (fake interviews, fake record covers and a fake manager (Peyo)) but then the joke became serious when a record boss decided they'd really had to create a band. Their story ended abruptly when Bert Bertrand (Billy Ball) decided to end his life in New York in 1983. As a result their first album became their last as it was released posthumously.
