Will Roland

Producer and director of Arthur Godfrey's morning show for the Columbia Broadcasting System from 1946 to 1958 and then assistant director of the London office of National Broadcasting Company International. Died in London, March 1973 at the age of 63. He attended the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, where he organized a dance orchestra, which led him to become a conductor of dance bands. He later worked for the Music Corporation of America in Chicago and at one time managed Benny Goodman's orchestra.
