Wayne Knight

North-American Jazz collector and producer. After a first career as an athletic coach in his native Canada from the late 50s to the late 70s, Knight founded his first company My Way Records (6) to produce non-released Frank Sinatra material. Relocated to Los Angeles in 1976, he bought out photographer and collector [a2243678]'s partner in Legend Records and founded different companies and imprints to release Jazz recordings, such as Giants Of Jazz Productions / Giants Of Jazz Records, Glendale Records, Mr. Music (5), Star Line Productions, Sounds Great Records / Sounds Good Music. Although not a photographer, Knight can be credited on some Jazz-related releases for providing archive photographs sourced from his collection (photography courtesy of Wayne Knight or Wayne Knight Collection).
