Hunter Jackson

Co-founder of Gwar. Founded Slave Pit, Inc. Hunter originally had an idea for a low-budget space pirate move called Scumdogs of the Universe. He was working on the project in a warehouse which was also being used as a practice space by the band Death Piggy, led by [a754033]. Eventually, the band started performing while wearing the costumes Hunter had been creating for his movie and then changed the band name to Gwar when everything merged. Hunter has played and/or voiced the characters Techno Destructo, Edna P. Granbo, Corporal Punishment, Cardinal Syn, and Scroda Moon in Gwar. Over the years there was a lot of tension between Hunter and Dave due to creative differences. Dave had Don Drakulich play Techno Destructo on the first Gwar album instead of Hunter. During one argument where Hunter thought Dave was being too controlling, he said "This is Gwar, not the Dave Brockie Experience." Later, Dave started a side-project band with fellow Gwar members Michael Derks and Brad Roberts (3) called [a1527631]. Hunter left Gwar in November 2000 after their Halloween tour due to his differences with Brockie and took his characters with him, with the exception of Cardinal Syn who was later used by Gwar again on the Lust In Space tour. He began performing at comic conventions, in independent professional wrestling shows and in other side projects as Techno Destructo and Scroda Moon. He also collaborated with Hella Hot Sauce to create Techno Destructo's Garlic Death Grip hot sauce. He returned to play the character with Gwar at their 30th Anniversary live broadcast show in October 2020 and then in July 2021 it was announced he would also be a part of their 30th Anniversary Tour.
