British audio and mastering engineer, active in England and Canada, mainly in the 1960s and 1970s. In England he worked at Abbey Road Studios (1967-1968), Trident Studios (1968-1969), Apple Studios (1969-1975), and F.P.S.H.O.T., with many notable artists such as [a82730], David Bowie, [a45467], The Hollies, [a532086], The London Symphony Orchestra (LSO), Cliff Richard & The Shadows, John's Children, Stealers Wheel, [a7557], Mark Wirtz, and Nicky Hopkins. Engineers he worked with include [a264184], Malcolm Davies, [a615117] and George Peckham. In 1975 Smith moved to Canada and worked at Century 21 Studios, and for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) as an engineer. In 1996 he left the CBC and moved to British Columbia where he formed a company called Reminisce that, in a video format, told peoples life stories.
