Elena Volkova

Elena Volkova is a fine art photographer. She was born and raised in Kiev, Ukraine, and moved to the United States in 1994. Her current body of work focuses on the idea of legibility, or the limited amount of information that is needed for a viewer to identify a subject, and on the interchange between nothing and something, and its manifestation in everyday reality. Her work has been exhibited in Baltimore, Washington, DC, New York, Philadelphia, Illinois and Virginia.
