Ben Sargent (2)

Artist, editorial cartoonist and journalist, originally from Amarillo, Texas. Sargent moved to Austin, Texas to study at the University of Texas and became the editorial cartoonist at the Austin-American Statesman in 1974. Sargent retired from the newspaper in 2009, though his work continued to appear in syndication at the paper until 2014 and also continued to appear in the Texas Observer. Sargent won the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning in 1982.
