Berit Berling

Swedish music journalist and producer born July 18, 1921 in the United States, died August 25, 2009 in Stockholm. Berling began to review music for Svenska Morgonbladet in 1946, after which she worked with the first edition of Sohlman's music lexicon and Tonkonsten, after which she was associated in 1955 with Sveriges radios program magazine Röster i Radio-TV, after which she worked for the radio's music department from 1960. During the early 1950's, she was a production assistant at the Glyndebourne Festival. For the general public, Berling was best known as a producer and presenter of the Music Radio's wish concert for which she was responsible until 1990, but also from the Opp Amaryllis program and the series "Er Schubert".
