Agneta Pleijel

Swedish author, professor emerita, cultural writer, and fil.lic. in literary history, born 26 February 1940 in Stockholm. Under the name Agneta Pleijel, she has worked as a writer, with a number of award-winning novels, collections of poems and dramatic productions behind her. She has been seen as a cultural debater and, among other things, has been chairman of Swedish PEN. In the years 1988-2015 she was a member of Samfundet De Nio.
