Sid Rosenberg

Songwriter and bluegrass musician. Mr. Rosenberg played guitar and banjo with The Sprouts Of Grass, a bluegrass group he helped found in the early 1980s. As a longtime member of the Folklore Society of Greater Washington, he helped organize folk music festivals at Glen Echo park and elsewhere. He also composed songs that included "Ring the Bells for the Federals," official theme song of the former Washington Federals, a U.S. Football League team, and "Let's All Bow Our Heads for Thanksgiving."
