Michail Gitowsky

Mikhail Zhitovsky - Russian opera singer (bass). From 1919 he was engaged in singing, studied in Italy, Germany and with V.A. Bernardi in Paris. From 1923 he gave concerts in Germany. He performed at the Russian Private Opera in Paris (1929), made a tour of America with her. He performed at the Russian Opera by A. Tsereteli (1930-1931), the Russian Opera and Ballet under M.E. Kashuka (1933). He sang in the operas "The Legend of the City of Kitezh" and "Sadko" by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, "Prince Igor" by Alexander Borodin and others. In 1935 he sang in the opera by Modest Mussorgsky "Boris Godunov" with the participation of Feodor Chaliapin. He performed in concerts organized by the Odessa community, the Franco-Russian Institute.
