Swedish pop band from Stockholm formed in 1964, with the name The Carolines. The band won a contest (during a fund raise ”Röda Fjädern”) in 1965, Lidingö. The price was a recording. They choose to record ”Under the boardwalk” and the song entered top 10 on the charts. The band toured in Sweden and was supporting act to Rolling Stones among others. They had no further hits and the band stopped playing in 1967. The band members: Kenny Ekman (song and guitar) Stefan Andersson (guitar) Pär Nyman (bass guitar) Claes Hjerne (drums)
