Об исполнителе:
Italian pop singer born in Città Di Castello, Perugia, in 1957, he made his debut in his hometown while still a child at the "Ugoletta d’Oro" festival, with the participation of the RCA Orchestra. He played in bands in the Alta Valtiberina area: first the Siros, then the Vibrocementi where he stayed for several years and with which he performed in many clubs in Central Italy. The meeting with Ivan Graziani, at the end of the 1970s, made him realize he was creating his own identity, trying not to imitate other more famous singers. Collaborating with his friend Lanfranco Perini, he then began to write songs. On the occasion of a concert by Francesco De Gregori in Città di Castello, he met the Roman songwriter and proposed him a tape with his own songs. The tape reached Vincenzo Micocci who soon called him to Rome to record the first 7": "Stella". It was 1984. In the following years Franco Verini alternated his own recording activity with production activities with the compilation "Il Vecchio vestito di Nuovo" for the Globo label. At the end of the 1980s, with Marcello Marini, he set up a show called "Canzoni Italiane", with a history of the Italian song during the 1900s, toured in Argentina and in many European countries. He's still active today.
