Karl Schick

German mastering, lacquer cutting and DMM engineer. Worked at TELDEC-Studio, Hamburg in cutting room 2 ("Überspielung 2") between the 1960s and 1984, mainly cutting singles. Occasionally, he also worked at Teldec-Studio, Berlin. After the mastering was terminated in Hamburg in mid 1984, Schick worked at Teldec-Press GmbH in Nortorf. His lacquer cuts [u]until the end of 1981[/u] can be identified by hand-etched "S-II" or "S-II-H" or "S-H-II" (always with roman numeral II) in the runouts, where the H stands for Hamburg and the numeral for cutting room 2.
