James Randolph (2)

Bluegrass guitar, singer and writer South Carolina. Born October 14, 1935. Died January 14, 2018. Born in Darlington County, SC, and raised in the Myrtle Beach/Horry County area, James began playing guitar at 11 years old, playing as he walked behind his mule-drawn plow. He played sporadically with Bill Monroe when one of his regular musicians had to sit out of a show. His primary job was as the superintendent of a construction company Also plays mandolin and acoustic bass.
