Romanian traditional folk and chanson singer. former colonel in Romanian Army ☆ June 1st,1938, Bălaia village, Tileag, Bihor county 1956 – teacher Liviu Frunză from High School No.2, Oradea discovered Gheorghe's musical qualities 1958 – 1963 : graduated Psychology Pedagogy Faculty, secondary Philology in Cluj 1960 – begin to sing as soloist in Folk Ensemble of the Cluj university center 1969 – won prize at ,,Crizantema de aur”, folk song contest in Târgoviște 1972 – 2000 : recorded with various folk orchestras and conductors 1973 – 1983 : won first prize at ,,Cântarea României” 1983 – 1996 : head of artistic cultural sector at House of Culture of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Retired in 1996 1984 – recorded first LP ,A venit aseară mama”, tribute to martyr poet Vasile Militaru
