American producer, arranger and songwriter. Husband of singer [a1298555] (1969). Member of the A&R staff of Paramount Records in New York. As an independent producer Blume has recorded Carolyn Hester, the The Great Metropolitan Steam Band, [a2763225] and Charlie Mariano among others. As an author he co-wrote The Cyrkle hit "Turn-Down Day" as well as songs recorded by [a998394], Gary Lewis & The Playboys, The Wilburn Brothers, John Simon, Maria Dallas, Martie Shannon, Freddie McCoy, the Young Americans and others.
