Buck Teeter

(27 Jan 1912 • Black Hawk County, Iowa -- 04 Mar 2001 • Colorado) Western Music Hall of Fame inductee, 21 Nov 2009. Country and Western musician (bass) and songwriter, Buck played in a local Colorado Springs band called "Buddies of the West" prior to joining the "Flying W Wranglers" in 1962. In 1968 he founded the Bar D Wranglers at Durango, Colorado in partnership with former Flying W members Jim Blanton and Cy Scarborough. Buck was also a talented artist and several of his works were featured as album covers for the Bar D Wranglers' releases and have also been used commercially by greeting card companies. His western themed paintings and sculptures are still in high demand.
