Nils Phlamethrower is/was the canny nom de plume of a certain Martin Howells (in fact, Nils Phlamethrower is [very nearly] an anagram of Martin Ralph Howells). Howells also recorded under the name Vladimir Zajkowiecz when he recorded with The Chrysanthemums and on his own solo album The Jes-U-Like
