Bob Shurley

Swamp pop, Cajun and gospel musician, guitarist, lap steel guitarist and songwriter. He started his career in Louisiana in the 1950s, where he founded Red Smiley & The Vel-Tones (aka Bob Shurley & The Vel-Tones), and played in several other local bands. He has since relocated to Yucca Valley, California where he has focused exclusively on religious music. Born: 12 September 1928 in Peoria, Illinois, USA
