Evert Overweg

Dutch drummer, arranger and bandleader, born 25 May 1936 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, died 18 July 2003 in Portugal. Overweg was the son-in-law of Arie Malando. Already a drummer in the Malando orchestra, the leadership of the orchestra was passed on to him in 1979. He is the father of [a2342195] (Danny Overweg) who became the third generation leader of the orchestra in the late 1990s.
