Buster Noble

Australian comedian, singer, dancer and radio star from the 1940s to the 1970s. Born 1 March 1913, Alberton, Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Died 15 July 1990. Father of singers/actresses [a656750] & Amanda Noble. His wife Helen De Paul was a singer/dancer and straight woman and Buster played the ukulele and tap-danced. During World War II, Buster served as a sergeant in the Waratahs Entertainment Unit in the Australian Imperial Force (AIF) from November 1942 to January 1946. He released some novelty singles over the years with "The Pommy Jackaroo" from 1962 reaching the Top 40. One of his other hits was "The Young Camp Stockman" from 1973.
