Early jazz vocalist and bandleader, who recorded for Gennett, OKeh and Vocalion 1923-1926. "This singer is reported to have been a female impersonator, which may be the explanation of the seeming discrepancy that he recorded for Gennett as a woman and for OKeh and Vocalion as a man!
