Drummer Ian graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where he studied classical percussion and jazz vibraphone with David Corkhill, Richard Benjafeld and Anthony Kerr. He has been playing drums and percussion since the age of twelve and studied at the Guildhall's junior department for four years before winning a scholarship to the senior school. In 2004, Ian became the first ever percussionist to reach the last eight of the prestigious Guildhall Gold Medal competition, which saw him perform at the Barbican. Since leaving the Guildhall, Ian has performed as a session musician with world-famous artists including Florence Welch, DJ Yoda and Katrina and The Waves. He often works as a sound designer for exhibitions across London and is an active composer of music for film and television. His music has been played on Channel 4 and BBC1.
