Giuseppe Tarantola

Italian-American clarinetist and composer (b. August 2, 1884 in Camporeale, Sicily, Italy – died March 1, 1945 in New York, NY, USA) A shoemaker by trade, Giuseppe "Joseph" Tarantola emigrated to the United States in 1909, settling in Brooklyn, NY. Tarantola played guitar with the popular Italian ensemble I Quattro Siciliani, which recorded with Columbia (1918-1927), Victor (1919-1920 and 1927) and Brunswick (1928). He also wrote many of the pieces in their repertoire.
