Paolo Paglia

Paolo Paglia was born in Alba (CN, Italy) in 1961 and graduated in Music Composition at the "Giuseppe Verdi" Conservatory of Turin. Later, he also attended the "G. B. Martini" Conservatory of Bologna. Conductor, he has conducted more than 1500 concerts in his career, both in Italy and abroad. His repertoire includes baroque music, romantic melodrama and contemporary music. He has composed works ranging from lieder to chamber music, from symphonic compositions to choral and sacred symphonic compositions, boasting countless first performances. From 2000 to 2006 he was the director of the Musical Institute "Lodovico Rocca" of Alba. He also wrote some books about the history of music, the relationship between music and spirituality and the anecdotes inherent the world of music.
