Lacht El Bahhtar

Lacht el Bahhtar was founded in 1986 at the Budapest Art High School and operated until 1992. One of the most unique Hungarian alternative bands. Their style combines dark wave, new wave, contemporary music and early electronic music. Their solo concerts attracted a large audience, but they also performed as front bands before Laibach and Lydia Lunch. They played in all major underground clubs in Budapest and took part in a tour in 1991 in Groningen, the Netherlands. Their first album was released on a compact cassette in 1990 and their second album (1991) only in a posthumous private compilation on CD in 2007. One of their track (Halhatatlan) can also be heard on the CD included in the appendix to Pokoli Aranykor eighties poster album, since 2017.
