The Diamond Four

Also known as The Diamond Comedy Four and possibly the same as the Diamond Quartette. This was an early recording group that included Steve Porter (2), [a1850089], James Kent Reynard and Will C. (Bill) Jones. They worked as Tin Pan Alley "song pluggers" for the music publishers Joseph Stern and [a597638]. The group recorded several discs for E. Berliner's Gramophone between 1896-1898. Their material consisted of humorous and novelty pieces.
