A lifelong New Jersey native, Dave DeLuca has been a professional musician since 1977. In 1989, he placed first in the annual ASCAP New Songwriter’s Competition in New York City and subsequently joined the Songwriter’s Guild of America. After playing guitar and bass and singing in several rock and punk groups throughout NJ and NYC, he switched gears and became a jazz/pop singer. In 2011, DeLuca beat out several hundred hopefuls and won a starring role in the annual Sinatra Birthday Bash at Red Bank’s Count Basie Theater. In addition to “The Star-Spangled Songbook,” DeLuca created and performs several other shows including the Rat Pack Flashback – a cabaret-styled musical tribute to Las Vegas icons Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis, Jr. He is now based in the Tampa Bay area of Florida
