Edge of the Wedge were a new wave quartet out of Shreveport, Louisiana comprised of members Barry Creighton (vocals, guitar & synthesizer), Maggie Fowle (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Pat McCoy (bass & vocals) and John Brown (drums & percussion). As of this writing there is very little information available with regard to the band or its members. However, they did release a lone, self-produced EP in 1984 entitled "Chime" on the Eva Tone label. There had been talk at some point during the EP's promotion that the band would cut an additional five tracks and re-release Chime as a full-fledged album. Eva Tone got cold feet and didn't pursue the recordings any further. Apparently the EP got little to no airplay outside of a few regional and some local college stations. So little that no major labels took notice, nor did the band attempt another effort after their shoddy treatment from Eva Tone. By March of 1985 the band dissolved and the members went their separate ways. Creighton went on to form The King Pins in 1985.
