Marcel Ophüls

Oscar-winning documentary film maker, former actor and author, known for "Hôtel Terminus: The Life and Times of Klaus Barbie" and "Munich or Peace in our Time". The son of Max Ophüls, he was born as Hans Marcel Oppenheimer on 1. November 1927 in Frankfurt, Germany and has spent considerable time in France (fleeing the Nazis) and the USA. Between 1956 and 1959 he worked for the German Südwestfunk in Baden-Baden.
