Benny Mahan

Born June 7, 1944 in Springfield, Missouri and died September 26, 2009. Benny Mahan's first gig was in a cave in Doling Park in Springfield, MO and he played shows all the way to Madison Square Garden. Benny started playing music as a teenager in Aurora, Missouri, and in the 1960s was a mainstay in the now-defunct Alibi Room in Springfield. Later he joined the group Granny's Bathwater and toured with them throughout the country. Benny was also a member of Black Stallion (2) and Howie And The Hillcats. One of the premier vocalists in southwest Missouri.
