Swedish photographer, born 25 July 1920 in Kumla county, died 29 August 2001 in Lidingö municipality. He is the author of many classic Stockholm photographs from the 1950s, 60s and 70s. Together with his wife Béatrice, he published several books about Stockholm. Both were also active in the magazines Idun and Vecko-Journalen, where Gösta Glase contributed with portraits, food, fashion and travel photos. In the late 1950s, he was commissioned by city gardener Holger Blom to document all public art in Stockholm. Glase made many trips abroad. Together with other traveling professional photographers such as Anna Riwkin-Brick, Rolf Blomberg, Bo Dahlin and Gustav Hansson, he formed the association "Full hand" in 1966. Their exhibition "The Global Man" was noticed in Foto magazine for the central and natural role that man had in the images. The Nordic Museum houses Gösta Glase's archive.
