GENRE : PUNK / SKATEPUNK ORIGIN : INDONESIA - BANDUNG FORMED : 1997 Rosemary is a punk band founded by Indra Gatot in 1997. Apart from Gatot, in the first line up Rosemary also recorded the names Arie, now vocalist of Disconnected and Sofi, now member of Jolly Jumper. After briefly participating in the "Ticket To Ride" compilation aimed at raising funds to build a skatepark in Bandung in 1999, Rosemary experienced a vacuum because Gatot was busy competing in skateboarding competitions in various cities. In 2002, Gatot decided to rebuild Rosemary and invited Fajar (bass) and Imam (drums). In 2004, Imam resigned from the band and was replaced by Ahonk. Not long after, I'ink joined and Rosemary's line up became what we know today, namely Indra Gatot (guitar/vocals), I'ink (guitar/vocals), Fajar (bass/backing vocals) and Ahonk (drums). The band is famous for its hits, including those entitled Miracle, Punk Rock Show, Supergirl (feat. Gania) and the latest hit single, Friends, which is sung by Indra Gatot: vocal/guitarist, Ahonk: Drummer, Fajar: Bassist and Ink: vocal/guitarist This has greatly influenced the souls of teenagers especially in the city of Bandung in Skateboarding, moreover the Vocalist Indra Gatot is one of the best skateboarders in Indonesia. The fans or WARS usually gather in the Dapla area (Dago Plaza) Apart from the phenomenal compilation Tiket To Ride, Rosemary is quite often involved in various other compilations such as: Disorder of youth/1999 (Revolution Records), Beyond Good And Evil (No Label Records), and it was only in 2006 that they released their first album under the Broken Board label. Records has consistently raised material from the subgenre of punk rock, Skatepunk.
