STARCAT sprang out of the soil in Los Angeles, California 2001. Originally from Scandinavia each band member came to U.S with a dream and a burning desire to make it in the music industry. Planted with 1 seed from Denmark, (Niels Andersen, Vocals & Guitar) and 3 seeds from Sweden, (Joakim Alderlof, Bass) (Daniel Rosenqvist, Lead/Rhythm Guitar) (Daniel Hedberg, Drums) they all met while playing the local clubs in Los Angeles. What makes Starcat unique is a blend of four diverse musical and cultural backgrounds giving the band a funky, alternative melodic heavy rock sound. STARCAT has played many venues in and around Los Angeles such as, Viper Room, The Whiskey a Go Go, Key Club, The GIG, Club Zen, B.B KING and The Knitting factory and have established themselves as a solid live act. Internet radio has gotten a strong hold on Starcat and is now being played on several Internet radio stations plus some regular radio stations in Europe. As a group Starcat has experienced success abroad in Denmark, Sweden and Germany. There was an old Viking saying that is now a Starcat saying; "We are here to conquer, pillage and rape the music industry with a no-nonsense attitude, leaving nothing but great music behind". Starcat takes pride in that no one can put a finger on their style of music, though they have heard many entertaining attempts to explain what their fans hear.
