Об исполнителе:
Niagara is a San Francisco based band, born out of the ashes of late eighties avant-folk pop experimentalists, The Balancing Act. The Balancing Act recorded three albums for IRS/MCA records; "New Campfire Songs" (1987), "Three Squares And A Roof" (1988), and "Curtains" (1989). The Balancing Act's albums were widely championed in the rock press, and the band's unique influence can be heard in the music of many current alternative-pop-chart inhabitants. Niagara 01, the debut disc by former Balancing Act songwriter/vocalist, Jeff Davis, has been described as "brilliant, folky electronica..." (NME) , "Amazingly sensual, literate songwriting..." (CMJ) , "Evocative, electronic campfire ballads..." (Melody Maker), "The perfect rock album..." (Alternative Press) Niagara 02 was scheduled for Sept. 1999 release. BAND MEMBERS: Jeff Davis: Vocals/guitar, Dan Aldo Silver: Bass/vocals, Matt Hergert: Drums/vocals, Fergus Griffin: Guitar, James Combs: Keyboards/guitar
