Debbie Gungor

Christian singer. Born February 16, 1954 in Greenwood, Wisconsin. Married Mark Gungor in 1972. She was the lead singer of The Joyful Noise (3). She and Mark (The Joyful Noise's keyboard player and bassist) toured with the group locally and globally. (Daughter Leslie was born in Sweden while the band was there.) After the end of The Joyful Noise, the couple went into ministry in churches in Wisconsin and Illinois. Starting in 2003, the Gungors did marriage seminars around the world. Debbie died December 15, 2017 following a long battle with cancer.
